What
We
Believe

We hold to the traditional and reformed confessions of the Christian faith. Below are the truths that we confess and teach which are essential to our ministry. We also acknowledge that among our staff, volunteers, and participating families, there could be differences regarding the biblical interpretation of doctrine that is non-essential to our ministry and the gospel.

Faith in God and the Bible

The Family and Humanity

We believe in one Holy and Sovereign God, existing in three distinct persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. All three are equal in power and authority. (1 Kings 8:27; Ps. 90:1-2; Mal. 3:6; Ps. 86:15; John 1:1-3)

We believe that the Bible is the written Word of God, inspired by Him and without error or contradiction, and that it is sufficient for all pursuits pertaining to life, godliness, and salvation. (Ps. 19:7-11; 2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:3)

We believe that all of mankind is created by God and made in His image, but by God’s sovereign design through the sin of the first man, we are all born in rebellion of our Creator, destined for eternal punishment by God’s wrath and in need of salvation. (Gen. 1:26-27; Col. 3:10; Rom. 5:12-21; Eph. 2:1-5)

We believe that salvation is the work of God alone and not by the work or will of men:

  • The Father predestined His plan of salvation and those He would save.

  • The Son, Jesus Christ, willingly chose to enter His creation, lived a perfect life, suffered death and punishment for the sins of His people, and was resurrected, atoning for the sins of all who will put their trust in Him alone for salvation.

  • The Holy Spirit, who regenerates the hearts of believers giving them new life, will sanctify them into the perfect and glorified image that God intended.

(Eph. 1:3-4; John 10:29; John 3:5; Rom. 9:16)

We believe that Jesus will return one day to judge all mankind and receive His people to Himself. (Rom. 14:12; 2 Cor. 5:10; Acts 24:15; Rev. 20-21)

We believe our purpose is to glorify and enjoy God in all that we do. (1 Cor. 10:31; Rom. 86:12; Is. 43:7)

We believe in the institution of the family. God created the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman:

  • For mutual help within an intimate and loving partnership with Christ as the head.

  • For procreation and raising together of godly children.

  • For the representation of the relationship between Christ and His Church.

We believe that husbands are commanded to sacrificially love and care for their wives as Christ does for the Church; wives are commanded to respect and love their husbands as the Church does for Christ; parents are commanded to love their children by caring for their needs and teaching them the scriptures as God does for His children; and children are commanded to love, obey, and respect their parents as the Church does for God.

We believe that life begins at the time of conception and all life is ordained by God.

We believe that God created us male and female. Our biological sex was established upon conception and is unchanging for the duration of our life.
